Edel Gormley, CNS in neuro-urology at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire, is undertaking research on on the nursing care of patients with neurogenic bladder, including all patients whose bladder function has been affected by any neurological condition. Part of this research involves collecting anonymous surveys from nurses who care for patients with neurogenic bladder.
From the research team:
“As is well known, nurses provide vital care to thousands of people affected by neurogenic bladder. We are trying to find a way to capture that care, as without the contribution of nurses, people are much less likely to achieve optimal bladder management. We would like to recruit a panel of nurses to take part in anonymous online surveys, to give their opinion on how care should be captured and measured.
If nurses are interested in taking part, we ask them to please send their expression of interest by email on/before May 9th, as we would like to get started with the study at this point.
If you have any further questions regarding the study, please contact Edel Gormley at edel.gormley@ucdconnect.ie “
