DETAILS OF ROLE

  • Play a vital and multifaceted role that bridges complex clinical care for patients with Rare Neurological Diseases (in particular including cerebellar ataxia, hereditary spastic paraplegias and other rare neurological conditions), with patient advocacy, education, and system navigation. The CNS/CNS candidate will contribute to the delivery of specialist care to patients with Rare Neurological Diseases in the outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider neurological medical and nursing team to ensure seamless patient care and journey.
  • Provide expert clinical assessment, education, and support to patients at various stages of their rare disease journey, from those with initial symptom presentation, through patients with newly diagnosed conditions, and to those requiring ongoing outpatient or inpatient care and advice.
  • Enhance health outcomes, promote continuity of care, and ensure that patients receive high-quality, evidence-based care in the appropriate healthcare setting.
